Our Guest-house 'Sonnenhof Preda' is a simple, bright chalet with 23 beds/ 12 rooms all with running water. The rooms are cozy double/single rooms. From our restaurants sun-terrace enjoy good meals, fresh mountain air and a beautiful view of the mountains adding to relaxation and comfort.
The price includes: a rich breakfast buffet, kurtaxes, sale taxes, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. Sled and snowshoe rentals are available for a low price. We also have a lounge with library, child's playcorner and piano, natural habitat, fire pits and seating throughout the property. In the summer park free at Sonnenhof. During a few winter months the road is closed as it becomes Switzerland's longest night-lit tobogganing trail - during this time free parking in Berguen, and take the train from Bergün to Preda. The house is reached in about 10 Miunten from the Preda Station. In Summer drive at the trainstation Preda under the railway, and at the wooden house to your right, drive right onto the gravel road. Drive about 250 meters to Sonnenhof on your left.

You are welcome to arrive earlier and store your baggage. If the room is already made, you may also enter earlier, and stay longer by departure if clear noone is using the room after you the same day.
We accept cash CHF, Maestro and major Creditcards/ fees may apply. An ATM is located in Berguen and Samedan.

Please call us or email your requests for your planned trip and get individual offers for your stay in Sonnenhof Preda. We have various area information and are glad to advise you. Shopping is possible in Bergün: VOLG (& Postal service in there), bank, bakery and butchery, hairdresser, 2 giftshops, sportware shop and kiosk. In Samedan (1/2 hour with the car or 15 min. with the train) you will find larger stores, a drug store, bank, postal office, etc.
The Gasthaus Sonnenhof is adjacent to the many hiking trails, meadows, moors, larch and pine forests. Below flows the river Albula and above from our sun terrace you can see the Alvra waterfall when it runs. Preda is the ideal starting point for mountain, ski and snowshoe tours. In the summer it is ideal for biking and exploring journeys by car, for example over the beautiful Albula Pass. From Sonnenhof you can walk to Palpuogna-lake or walk the Rhaetian Railway to experience the spectacular famous Albula valley by train. Our Sonnenhof is in Parc Ela, the largest nature park in Switzerland. Also, here starts the most beautiful illuminated 6km long toboggan of Switzerland with an included extra 3km Darlux sledding trail. Preda has much to offer. At the Preda trainstation there is a ticket machine... please note - it accepts coins, EC cards and credit cards, and only CHF 10.-/20.- Banknotes.
100 meters away from the Gasthaus Sonnenhof our Grouphouse Sonnenhof is ideal for groups, business trips, school camps, clubs, nature friends, etc. It 26 beds divided into 10 rooms (plus 6 extra matresses). Sonnenhof Grouphouse stands alone and has a big field (great for sport), 2 connected kitchens for cooking, 4 washrooms, 2x 2 showers, a diningroom, etc. It rents for CHF 400-620.- a night depending on the season.
